Jason Green was hired in 1996 as a Circuit Rider for Oregon Association
of Water Utilities, and he later worked as Training Specialist. In 1998
he was offered the Executive Director position. Previous to employment
at OAWU, he served on the OAWU board of directors for ten years, three
being president, while also working for several water and wastewater
systems. He holds dual certifications in water treatment/distribution
and wastewater treatment/collections.
While Jason believes he is blessed
to work at OAWU, he also knows “our part in this is to work hard, be
honest, adaptable and communicate with purpose”. With over 20 years in
the water/wastewater field and with OAWU, he still has passion for the
association, its’ purpose and the people he works for and with. Though
much of his work is now within an office or at meetings, he still very
much enjoys getting out into the field, speaking at a conference or
teaching a class, and seeing the members.
Jason and his bride since 1986, live on the coast in the Pacific City
area with their three lovely daughters. He enjoys his family, church and
outdoor activities that mostly include fur, fins or feathers.
